Whats New at Sting?.
OFFSEASON IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES!
Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (beginning this Saturday, November 9) Sting coaches will lead indoor practice and training sessions at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center gymnasium, 1250 Vernonview Drive. (You actually drive back in as far as you can to their newer complex to find the very nice gymnasium, which we've been allowed to use in the past.) We will be running drills and skills for current Sting players of all ages, U8 to U14, with some scrimmage time possible contingent on who shows up. The Sting Board views this great opportunity as an important step in our teams' success -- offseason improvement! No fee and no RSVP necessary for Developmental Center sessions. However, please note that players whose accounts for the current (fall) season) are not fully paid will not be allowed to participate. Bring water, indoor gym shoes, and a futsal ball if you have one.
Your Sting coaches all highly recommend getting as many touches on the ball as possible, every day, and these two great opportunities will help your player improve his or her skills while working out with friends from all our Sting teams. More information to come later on January/February indoor team opportunities at the Kids America facility in Coshocton. Also, before the end of the year you should be seeing opportunities to buy Stingwear as well -- think about your Christmas shopping plans!
Congratulations to all of our teams on their season and tournament performances, and in particular to our U14s for their 6-1-1 record and second-place tournament finish!
Check with coaches for questions.
U8: Coach Eric Holdener
U10: Coach Joel Gunderson, Chris Allen, John Deever
U12: Coach Chris Allen & Ian Johnson
U13: Coach Michael Roche
U14: Coach Ryan Schwarzentruber
Congratulations Sting players and thank you parents!
